A last good-bye to summer

I do believe that summer has finally departed and fall is here to stay. We haven't had a killing frost yet but it's only a matter of time. But I took this picture just Thursday. Today I am wearing a sweat shirt inside my house.

Autumn/Fall is breathing heavily down our necks...and today we have finally succumbed to switching the central heating on. The next step...coming very soon...will be to light the woodburner in the Snug below our bedroom. This is a 24/7 affair which Chania will appreciate as she sleeps on our bed from the wee small hours until my getting up heralds breakfast...sigh;-)
