The Old Homestead by joansmor

The Old Homestead

I feel like I am documenting the decline of this old home. I wanted a picture of it before winter hits and maybe does more damage. Here is the first shot I posted of this place. https://365project.org/joansmor/365/2016-09-06
You will see that the part of the house with the peak roof facing the front has disappeared.
Nice capture. Always sad to lose these old homes.

So good that you keep your eye on it. A fabulous shot albeit a bit sad at the same time.

I love this black and white and it's interesting you should look at the shot as preserving the history and demise of this building. I have two photos on display right now of structures that have been drastically changed this past month. One was a beautiful old barn that is now torn down and the other an old mill which someone has remodeled and changed its outward appearance. What memories a photo can preserve!

It's a one way street. Maybe ... just maybe ... someone will move in and fix it up.
