Steam by joansmor

Steam

For our last camera club meeting one of the members did research and gave us wonderful tips. Like putting cotton balls soaked in water in a bowl and microwave them and place this behind your food for steam. Well, this is a very small teacup and I would have had a hard time hiding the bowl. But hey I can do it with PS. I made two versions. In the other version, I had the smoke moving to the right. I liked the sense of motion but got suggestions that it looked crooked so see what you thing of this version.
Clever!!!

Ha ha what a wonderful piece of inside info....I will never look at a steaming cup of tea again without remembering this!

Yes, I see that cat! And I think your tablecloth/horizon line could be straightened slightly. Pretty tea cup as well and I think the cottonball trick was very clever!

It's the angles on the steam that trip me up. I have to learn from scratch every time (and by then the food went cold.)

This is a clever way to get steam -- thanks for sharing the idea. The resulting composition is so pretty with the steam seeming to come up from the teacup.
