Working dock

The lobster traps are put up now. It has become a conservative thing to stop lobstering for a period every year. thus all the traps on the dock.
Nice capture!

I suppose it happens in breeding season, definitely a great idea. Lovely shot and scene.

You capture this respite from trapping so well.

Great shot and details. It is a pity that it is more of compulsion than love.

@ludwigsdiana No not the breeding season - actually different towns do different times so some lobster is being harvested all year, but you can't keep small lobster or breeding females.

Interesting capture. South Africa has a 'crayfish season' and you need to obtain a permit. You also cannot catch breeding females or any small ones. As far as I'm aware this goes for commercial fishermen as well as those catching for personal use.
