Okay, I am in the hospital because my bowel was blocked again (an ongoing problem since my operation and radiation). They thought they might have to operate but that can also mean a chance of more scarring and more problems. So they want to do a thing with dye as the blockage let up some. But I have to be cleaned out. And so tomorrow they may have to put a tube through my nose and down to my stomach. Then they do the dye and next 12 hours later they do an xray to see what the scarring looks like. I may not have to have an operation just yet but the amazing thing is the dye resets the bowel. And things could be good for a while after that. The other problem is - well you have heard about getting blood from a stone. While I am a stone. More attempts that were unsuccessful than I care to count. Plus they used an ultrasound to put in one of my IVs. Then they say my heartbeat is now showing signs of AFib. I am just falling apart. But I am in good spirits and really feeling well. I keep the nurses in laughs.
My goodness...so sorry to hear this...and yet you have the sweetest smile ♥ Glad to see your niece is there with you. I'll be sending good thoughts and prayers your way.
I do hope you improve quickly. A friend of mine has had two bowel obstructions following colon cancer surgery, but luckily that was over 10 years ago and she has been fine ever since. She just has to keep an eye on what she eats.
So glad that you are able to keep up your sense of humour and spirits through all you have been through! Praying that your courage and positive attitude delivers a speedy recovery.
Ain't growing old a pain? LOL!!
With that kind of attitude I know you are going to lick this thing in one way or another. I am praying that your results will be as exciting as mine was and that all the things that could go right will and then some!
Oh Joan, take care! These doctors have quite a fantasy. Our doctors, when I tell them that I have something wrong, make me look at my date of birth and not disturb them. All the best!
Love your positive attitude Joan!
My thoughts are with you
