I went to see the doctor who will be doing my Triple infusion. I have a foot that over the years has turned out because the tendon has failed. They will infuse the ankle and the foot before the toes and extend the hamstring. I will lose the sideways movement but as it is now my right foot is perpendicular to the left and that puts a strain on the leg all the way up to the hip. When I have this done I will most likely spend some time in rehab as I live alone. And won't be able to drive for 6 weeks. I looked into it last fall but the idea of being laid up during winter did not appeal to me. Hope to get it done in the next month so I will be driving and moving around before winter. Fingers crossed. Without my shoe implant, I would be in constant pain but eventually, the tendon may give away completely. Wish me luck
Wishing you all the best Joan, I can empathise, I had a foot fusion in 2017 and had to wear a pot and stay off my foot for 3 months. My iPad took a severe battering, that year!! Please keep us posted.
More than luck, I will be praying for you, the drs. and the surgery! I wish I could be there to help. But I know your family is close by and will be there for you too.
