Glory days no more

It was overcast when I set out at 6:30 am (and cold). So not being an expert on light yet I duplicated this picture and used a blend mode and then added a mask so I could remove the affect of the blend on the lighter areas. Thought it came out good and would make a good picture of my get-pushed challenge for texture.
Lovely shot and great processing. Great texture capture!

What a great building Joan and I like your composition here. This is worth a return visit to concentrate on some of the wonderful details... there's a couple of good close-up shots to be had around that shed, for instance.

@vignouse Did you see the inspiration in your picture of the abby. That got me thinking of stone texture and led me to the mills. I have several other pictures and some may be reminiscent of what you are talking about. Expecting more rain tomorrow so todays pictures will do as double duty. A little creepy that early in the morning.

THis is very cool and so interesting! So much to take in.....what a place. Full of all kinds of textures and colors. Wonderful!
