Patience is a virtue

I sat and sat and sat waiting for this gull to fly off - thought it would make a great photo - they're such big birds. After 20 minutes, it did fly off but I was looking at the back of my camera and missed it.... drat.
Love the lines ad pattern and great blue sky. Love the gull at the top, looks like it is on guard!

But this is a great shot! I read, "patience" as the bird having the patience to stand guard.

I am so sorry, I laughed when I read your caption. But I can imagine how frustrating that must have been. You've ended up with a great shot though. I love the pattern of wires against that lovely blue sky and the gull sitting there gazing into the distance. Wonderful!

At least you took a shot of him before he flew away! Love the tag!

Great light on him. Too bad he wouldn't cooperate.

Nice bit of vignetting there?

This is like the birds' version of spaghetti junction. At least you captured him before he flew off! Great lines against the sky.

Great comp, even with the bird sitting still.

Well you get an A+ for patience Jocasta. You got a great shot though, I love the light and all those criss crossing lines.
