I think the photo gods were shining on me today. For my get-pushed challenge Summerbl4ck challenged me to try some street photography. I set off for the bus station in Warrington - always quite a lot of comings and goings. As I walked in there were to young lads chatting and, for some reason known only to them, they had these masks on. They were very happy for me to take their photo - wish I'd got their email to send them a copy. Best large
@summerbl4ck Many thanks for your perfect challenge. I have a new "pocket sized" camera. My Canon is so big that it's impossible to be inconspicuous doing street photography. Today was the first time I put it to the test for your challenge. Completely BRILLIANT - no one batted an eyelid.
That is so cool (and a tad creepy) with those masks. Super pov you have chosen and perfect feel in bw. This has a real jocasta feel to it and as always you rise so brilliantly to the challenge.
Fabulous capture, how strange and equally amazing for them to have masks on! Love it! Wish I had a small camera to take when out and about as the big one is great but heavy and not particularly discreet!
@roseolivia Thanks, Rachel. I also have the 5DMklll - and my grandchildren hide if ever they see it. One of the advantages of being quite ancient is that I don't feel that I always have to wait …..Sean bought the Fuji X Pro 1 last week and has some fantastic photos from his trip to London.
Fantastic capture, must admit my first thought was 'bank robbers'! Very brave of you to do this, the thought of asking strangers to take their photo terrifies me!
