I put my camera on the ground - so, not actually shooting from the hip. It was quite busy so I waited for there to be just a couple of people. I did crop it.

I just wanted to write a personal note to let you know I thought this was such an excellent shot. For just setting the camera down on the ground it has such a balanced and composed feel to it. The lady waving "hello" also is so nicely whimsical! The processing is perfect as well- it has a fantastic retro/vintage appeal. I regret that I did not put it in the finals as choice #6- hind sight is always 50/50. Please accept my apologies for the omission- you deserved to be on there! I can at least offer you a small consolation- fav.
