Had my appraisal today, that could have gone better :D
It just helped me make up my mind time to move on.

Thank you all for taking the time to view and comment on my shots.

Sounds like a tough day :(
Great bold image with strong repeated patterns in the bricks around the focal point

shame about the appraisal but a very nice 6 picture.

Sometimes moving on is such a good thing to do. I like this doorway with the giant 6 on it.

have that feeling too... 6 years is more than enough time me thinks and time for something different...

This isn't on Downing Street is it? Sorry to hear your appraisal didn't go well. I've been there too! The only free advice I can offer is, sleep on it for a few days before making any decisions!
posted June 15th, 2012
My thoughts? They don't deserve you!!!!

Cool shot, I agree with Skip, sleep on it for a few days.

I didn't know what an appraisal was until I read the other comments. I guess it's a job review, right? Sorry things didn't go well but maybe another door will open for you somewhere else. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Sometimes it takes a push to move us along our path. Good luck. Great shot

terrific processing. Are you gonna branch out into real estate photography?
posted June 15th, 2012
Nice bold shot. Been meaning to add some numbers after my alphabet month... you've made me resolve to start looking.
Bosses have to throw in a snotty appraisal once in a while to hold their authority, don't take it to heart. Whatever you choose to do will be the right move :)

OMG, how timely. we've all been there. i'm in the midst of life decisions as well. good luck to you. black and white emphasizes the impact of the shot!
posted June 15th, 2012
it's crap...not the photo the company, appraisal are suppose to be supportive and productive..buy you know that :) and I want a door with a giant number on it

Gorgeous B&W shot, John. Some appraisals are meant to be encouraging, John, doesn't necessarily mean that they do.
posted June 15th, 2012
Great shot. I did a self appraisal today and told myself it's time to get moving. Day 1 of new ideas anyway. It all sounds good John, let's hope door number 7 opens for you with wide open arms (and some chocolate cake).

Nice B&W tones in this , Good Luck!

Great No6 shot..and more often than not those that give the appraisal would struggle to find their "r's" from their "Lbow"!
posted June 15th, 2012
Great shot, and yes, maybe time to move on. Doors will open!
posted June 15th, 2012
What do they say, when one door closes, another opens. I'm sure there are only better things ahead. No thoughts of following a path that would use your very natural talent behind the camera?

Well you know why mate?! Keep using google for all your answers eh !! ;-)

I like this especially the gritty feel to it.

Cool shot John. You are not a number, you are a free man

Love the mystery of this photo - what's behind door #6? Sorry about your appraisal - hopefully, you'll find something more to your liking!

Nice b&w :-)

Very cool door...

It wasn't until I read the caption on your next day that I got this. Appraisal in US generally means an inspection of home to determine it's value! :)

Gee I hate appraisals.
