Split Rails by joysabin

Split Rails

Not enough for a panorama but couldn't resist a mirror image. Split rail fences were somewhat common in the general area. This is on the edge of a small wildlife area near Kendrick Peak behind the San Francisco Peaks.
Ha, I also used the mirror, in PicMonkey. Great landscape, hope to travel one day.

@overalvandaan Wow, thank you for the fav. I need to try pic monkey- I've been using a few edit packages, snapseed on my phone, paint.net, photoshop and am trying to learn gimp since my raw images aren't recognized by PS, guess my CS5 is just too old but it works.

Clever processing...

PicMonkey is very easy to use, you can use textures, layers etc. As an Ace member you can use all the different features, only downside I find personally is that you have to process online and you can only safe the image as a small jpg.

My get pushed challenge for you is: use natural window light for a portrait or still life. Side light a bonus.

Good luck!

Nice processing. I have never seen split rails before. What is the purpose?

@joysabin Walks , I wanted to add that this is a great example of " perfect composition." It doesn't get any better than this. I would even hang it on my wall. Great job!

This is a good one; I was almost fooled by it initially. It's too good to be true but it does make an interesting photo.

@overalvandaan Thank you, I am looking forward to the challenge.

Very creative. I knew there was something unusual about this but I didnt notice the reflection until I looked at it again

@jaybutterfield Thank you, I used to do this in art class with film prints- computer edits are much easier.

That mirror image gives this a really surreal feeling.

@mcsiegle Thank you. I used paint.net for this. It is free and easy to use.
