My get pushed partner @frappa77 gave me the following challenge this week-. "This is my get pushed challenge: to photograph something that makes you feel happy"
Been busy for a couple of days so couldn't 365 but I'm back now.
A bubble! I wouldn't have know, but I enjoyed the picture very much prior to knowing as well. I thought perhaps I was looking at a magical spinning carousel that had landed in the park to make you happy
@francoise Thanks, only using my lensbaby this month does lead to different shots. I am forcing myself to work with and learn this lens so, there could be more bubble shots coming. Learning where the focus for an individual shot is and how to get it stronger is huge area for me. I do like the movement with the blur but need to understand it better.
@frappa77 Thank you so much for the fav. I took 70+ shots and only got 2 that I was okay with. I was not using a tripod so there is room for more work and more fun with bubbles. I needed this challenge this week, Thank you!
It's an interesting image. I like the light catches in the bubbles. I find the motion of the picture [in the blur] too intense for me, like a force is sucking the picture up, I don't if that makes any sense at all? Please know that I mean no disrespect in what I say - I am just saying how this image makes me feel. Does it affect you at all @joysabin ? I have zero knowledge of lensbabies so your pictures are a huge learning curve for me too.
This was a hard shot with the lensbaby. Capturing the motion while dealing with the lensbaby's effects....Cool to have achieved soap bubble bokeh with soap bubbles. Keep at it!
@stephanies I am very grateful for your input. I wasn't using my tripod and it shows in the composition and blur. Please do not ever feel like you can't make criticisms because I appreciate the time and comments. I heard about lensbabies years ago and haven't wanted one ever since. I you tubed how to use it but there is a huge and ever so fun learning curve.
@pickerandagrinner Thank you so much for the fav. I took about 70 shots to get bubbles even in the frame because this lazy lady wasn't using her tripod. Playing around is one of my best methods of learning.
It's so cool! I like this blurred effect, the sense of movement, the transparency of the bubble and the choice of b&w!
