I have this comic on my quote wall as a source of humor. I collect and staple various quotes to my walls in my work room. Sometimes they provide a needed spark but other times, not so much. I have caught a case of lack of photomojo.
This is from Mr. Willey Miller, who creates the "Non Sequitur" comic strip. He is a wonderful source of laughs and smiles.
Lol funny strip, but I hope your lack of photomojo doesn't last long. I think we all hit the pan at some point or another... When I get like that I take myself off for a walk and photograph whatever I see around me.
Ha ha! This is great!
My favourite is the French artist Claire Bretecher's cartoon where she is frame after frame doing just about anything else but writing: she vacuums the rugs, she washes the dishes, she makes coffee, she smokes a cigarrette . . . typical, when you just can't get going.
great cartoon, sums up the feeling nicely, I think we've all been there.
We all have to find our own route out of the doldrums but I have some web pages that I look at for inspiration, just reading about all the different techniques starts firing off ideas in my head https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Photographic_techniques
hope it helps!
Just remember hitting a wall with your fist hurts a lot more than hitting a canvas with it. (Just in case you were thinking of taking the inspiration a little too literally).
@graemestevens In the dumps but not stuck- at least I hope. Monsoons should wash away this :) @gerry13 Sometimes a fit or two helps with things- at least it works for a 2 year old. @stephanies I am trying to step up and out. I think that the vote in the UK really has me upset and I'm not even British. Cooperation is a foundation we all should stand on and behind. @jack4john Thank you, Gary Larson is another one of my favorites. I even have his big collection- weighs a ton but so so good. @lizhammond You are so right about pot holes in creativity. Gotta fall down now and then to understand how and when to get back up. Thanks for the link. @octogenarian Good point, a times creativity is just a speck of dust and then a whole dust storm. I'll just dust or clean since it doesn't take much brain power to clean the toilets. I will more often at Claire Bretecher's cartoons. They look interesting. @gardencat No, not literally but walking away from my cameras but not be the answer either. I am going to step up and out of this muck. I think I'll go clean out my junk drawers- who knows what I'll find in them. @overalvandaan Good thing about lack of ideas, its quiet. Gonna get out and play with bubbles-maybe.
Amen to that - I am just as shocked as you are as someone that voted to stay. I also shocked by some of the views/opinions of some people on why they voted out..... Now some people are calling for another referendum because they have changed their minds... it's all pretty crazy and just shocking.... @joysabin
@cjphoto I get my daily fix of this strip- we have one of his daily calendars. Sometimes I gotta just laugh as the ideas that seem to pass me by. This community is so marvelous and supportive that it usually doesn't last too long.
