Pine Cone Drop by joysabin

Pine Cone Drop

Flagstaff's Giant 6 foot Pine Cone drops twice on New Years- 10pm and 12am. The cone is lowered from the Weatherford Hotel, a local landmark since 1899. Silly but fun local tradition since 1999.
Is the 10:00 drop for we old folks who can't make it til midnight? :-)

@shesnapped I am so grateful for your fav, thank you! This was the very first time I went out on New Years- so glad that I listened to my son and went.

@jeffinvt Kinda quirky but that is Flagstaff. 2017 might be a bumpy ride :):)

@stephanies For the family friendly crowd. The hard-core party nuts were in the bars on the surrounding streets getting 'ready'.

@la_photographic Really appreciate the fav, this is Flagstaff at its quirky best, 6foot metal pine cone with lights. They put it out in early December which gets us looking forward to another weird thing. :):)
