My desk is more of a work table and it is larger, and just as messy as yours, as a result I do tend to waste a lot of time looking for things that I know are there…somewhere. That is annoying. But, on the other hand I’ve often found inspiration for a project, just by scanning the surface of my desk, and noticing a serendipitous juxtaposition of objects. To add another quote to the list, “Neat people are rarely tidy.”
Sorry- I'm of the neat and tidy desk crew- but that's only because my head is messy enough with all the thoughts and ideas that come across my brain every day that it's better I don't let them spill out on to my desk. But don't look in my closets!
@gardencat@olivetreeann@olivetreeann My desk is a used conference table so I have plenty of real estate to spread over. I used to have a small computer table and was forever stacking stuff on the floor.

If I had my old desk which was normal size, there would be piles sky high. I am never giving up my big over sized table for a desk. Real estate is everything when it comes to desks. Open space equals fair game for me....
