Nope, nice try

I had given up on this Rhododendron and cut it back to possibly use the bare branches as a sculpture with glass or metal leaves. While searching my yard for macro shots and I noticed that there is new growth, at least on part. I was told that Rhodies are hardy but I think more stubborn is closer to the truth. I will need to rethink my sculpture ideas.
Beautiful! I love the golden tones!

@corinnec @frodob @eudora @marlboromaam Thank you so much, I did try to baby this Rhodi for a couple of years. I gave it coffee grounds and fish emulsion in the hopes that I might save it. I think that the summer of 2021 with the excessive heat and no water did it in. The previous owner had passed that Spring and there wasn't any real care given to the garden and yard.

How beautiful to see it budding again, hopefully it will give you many beautiful blooms with a bit of TLC :-)
