PMAE No. 290

Happy Father's Day - Dad! I found this shot of you and loved your expression. You had so many sides to you. A prankster, a reader, a thinker, a photographer, a teacher, too many to list. I am grateful that I now have your Rollei, which I cherish. I thank you for all that you taught me over the years.
aaah that's lovely, joy. he sounds like a very special man. i thought of my father today too and have similar feelings, including cherishing his cameras :)

@jernst1779 Thank you so much. I miss him but it's been almost 20 years since he passed.
@golftragic Thank you. It was taken along time ago, he is even wearing my sunglasses, which I still have. He was a character.

Being the father of a single daughter, I can’t help being moved... love the expression on his face!

@domenicododaro He was a complicated man with the soul of an artist. Those were my sunglasses which may account for his expression.

@joysabin I can well believe that. My dad died 14 years ago but I still miss him and Mum (who died suddenly in 1989).

Sympathetic treatment of a thoughtful man.

@s4sayer Thank you so much. Our relationship had its ups and downs but time can be a great equalizer or maybe I have better eyes now.

I like the use of the vignette to take us back in time. What a great glimpse of your father -- so appropriate to 365 -- him with his camera.

A lovely tribute shot and wonderful processing.

A very nice portrait. I like the way he holds the camera.

@mcsiegle He and I could 'speak' cameras together. I wish he could have been around for the digital cameras.
@taffy Thank you so very much. I owe him a great deal, he introduced me to film.
@francoise He was military and always a sharp dresser.
@thistle Thank you so much, he and I shared cameras/film and for that I am grateful. Creativity is a wonderful bond.
@haskar Thank you so very kindly.
@eudora Thank yous very much. I have used it a couple of times, the processing of the film has given me a few hiccups.
@octogenarian Thank you, the fun side of him is what I like to remember.
