A golden hour shot of Lower Lake Mary outside of Flagstaff. This lake is really a wetland with it being mostly dry much of the year. The recent rains have given 'birth' to a carpet of yellow flowers. I am not sure if they are Autumn Sneezeweed (Heleium autumnale) but, they look close. A small wildfire's smoke is just visible on the horizon.
@jernst1779 Thank you, the flowers are just so dense this year. I don't remember this happening last year.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I felt lucky to be able to walk into the lake and then just sit down with my camera. There were some bees still hard at work too.
@golftragic Very grateful for the fav. The flowers looked great from the shore but better sitting among-est them.
@lsquared Thank you very much.
@365projectorgjenfurj I hadn't thought about that, there is an old sporting goods store that might know if its possible.
@kali66 Best part was no one else was there.
