If anyone is interested:
My Project 365 Year 2 will draw to a close on February 28th.
I intend upon a Year 3...after taking a month-long break from it.
My Year 3 will begin on April 1, 2015.
In the interim month of March, I may take photos & post them on a separate album, but it will not be a daily occurrence.
I may use that time to delve deeper into some of the other things here on 365project.org, such as Challenges, etc. Those have been beyond my capacity thusfar, due to equipment & time constraints.
I just got a new camera (have not used it yet), a Canon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR. I hope to delve deeper into this interest.
Thanks to all for your interest.
@cejaanderson@aglennc@tristansmum Thanks for your comments.
I think my photography of late has gotten lazy & stagnant. I think I reached a similar place a month or 2 before the close of my first year, as well.
"One photo a day" sounds like such a simple thing...but life intrudes. The mudanities of life. When you're on the same track every day (get ready for work, leave for work, workday, come home from work tired, same routine, same scenery) makes, for me, a dreary environment to choose from, photographically.
Depression doesn't help.
Deciding to take a month off of the "need" to come up with a worthy shot a day is appealing. Not that I want to quit.
But a vacation from it will be nice.
@jrambo001 I'm sorry you suffer from depression; I know what a bad thing it can be. I hope, during your month off, that you'll take photographs just for the pleasure of it, when you feel like it, enjoying getting to know your new camera in the process. Taking pictures can be such a joyful thing. I know I am very lucky to be retired and able to devote much of my time to things I actually want to do, like photography.
@tristansmum Lord how I wish I could retire now & devote more time to painting. Being forced to work on many of my days off since the onset of last Summer has drained my energy & enthusiasm for creativity & brought on the depression. I resent my employer for it.
I can retire in 5 years.
I think I will.
