Whenever I see Diego and Oso together, I immediately hear the phrase “two peas in a pod.” I am almost certain I titled a pair of posts about this pair with that phrase, but I cannot help bringing it up yet again when I look at this shot. Oso appears as if he’s standing guard over his “brother” who is, at the moment, no doubt transfixed by “Baby Shark” or some other “Muffin Man” which is what Diego calls YouTube videos due to an alarming number of appearances of that rather annoying song. Anyhow, Diego wakes each day with one of his first thoughts being about the dog - usually to scope out if there’s poop on the doggy pads - and after dressing, the two are rejoined with a daily hug during which Diego gently rests his head on Oso’s back. I wish I got that as a photo, but you can blame the guy on Drury Lane who I do not know, actually, for distracting the boy from his best bud.
