Parables of Sunlight by juliedduncan

Parables of Sunlight

". . .It turned away from the blithe country
And down the other air and the blue altered
sky
Streamed again a wonder of summer
With apples
Pears and red currants
And I saw in the turning so clearly a child's
Forgotten mornings when he walked with his
mother
Through the parables
Of sun light
And the legends of the green chapels . . . "

"Poem in October" selection - Dylan Thomas
Pretty!

Fav for the photo and for the poem. I love Dylan Thomas but remember when I was in the sixth form at grammar school saying so to the teacher and she said something like she thought he had 'had his day' I think she was wrong.

@quietpurplehaze Thank you so much, Hazel! I discovered DT my 1st year in college and have loved him ever since. He and Gerard Manley Hopkins are among my favorites! (I think your teacher was mistaken.) :)
