I lifted the lid of our compost bin today and disturbed an ants nest. I felt quite sorry for them as they turned into panic mode grabbing eggs and trying to pull them down into the darkness of the compost!
@vera365 - I often find that when I can't think what to use for the day's 365 I stumble on something unlikely!
@dmcoile - I think the fact that they were contained in the bin made it easier :)
@tillystartedit - having just got back from walking the dog I had my camera with me :)
@shirleybankfarm - it is amazing how they can carry things much larger than they are! The funny thing was seeing several ants all grasping one egg and trying to pull it in several different directions at the same time!
