Longhorn beetle - Stenocorus meridianus by julienne1

Longhorn beetle - Stenocorus meridianus

An interesting little beetle, about an inch (2.5cm) long. They spend most of their life as larvae living in the bark of diseased or rotting trees. It's a bug's life.....
Great capture as always. the wing case looks like an extra bit of baggage it is having to carry around

Stenocorus meridianus? I reckon you must spend longer googling the names of these creatures than you do photographing them!
