Walking through Breech Wood, High Ham, the ground is in places covered with hazelnut shells with neat little teeth marks. The squirrels seem to be having a great time. I hope they are saving some for the winter!
Nice capture. I feed hazelnuts sometimes to the squirrels that come into the garden. It is quite fascinating to hear them scraping the nuts with their teeth to be able to get into them.
