Green Shieldbug Nymph (Palomena prasina) by julienne1

Green Shieldbug Nymph (Palomena prasina)

Another shieldbug.... this time a green nymph. This one is in the 5th and final stage before becoming an adult. Each stage of nymph has different characteristics and is quite easy to identify. In this photo you can see the long mouthparts puncturing the leaf so that it can suck out the sap.
Great close up!
