No pink plastic bottles I hope, our beaches have been inundated with them over the past few weeks........jetsom from some passing ship....some say they are Vanish bottles......unfortunately they have not done so...
They may not be treasures, but they are colorful! Do you have a volunteer beach clean up program in your area? We have 2 big beach cleanups per year where volunteers gather up and down the coast to pick up trash, but treasures can be found. In our area glass floats are hidden for volunteers to find. Nice reward for cleaning the beach.
@gijsje the word flotsam is used to describe general debris that has ended up in the water accidentally, but jetsam is something that has been deliberately thrown into the water. Together they have just come to be the way of describing stuff washed up on the beach from the sea.
@shirleybankfarm - I hope not too! I somehow guess some parent decided that it wasn't worth packing up and taking home! I did think of picking it up but I thought some other kid would probably enjoy finding it and using it!
