Shaggy Ink Cap - Coprinus comatus

Several giants have popped up here over the last couple of nights. This one was about 9-10 inches tall. It is edible, but has to be eaten very soon after picking or it dissolves into an inky mess! It's cultivated for food in China. Other names are Shaggy Mane and Lawyers Wig
