There are lots of swans on the moor below our village. There were around fifty in this field, another fifty in the next field and around 20 on the water in between. It always seems a rather odd place to gather and I don't quite see the attraction. There are always small groups in the area throughout the year, but at this time of year they all seem to gather together for some reason.
