Cormorant on the moors by julienne1

Cormorant on the moors

We've said goodbye to Cornwall and I'm now back in Somerset so it was ironic to see this cormorant drying his wings on a dead tree while taking my first walk down on the moors. They are more often seen on the coast but we do get a few around here. The building in the background is Walton windmill

Well captured. Looks great on black.

There are usually a few cormorants hanging around the River Wear....right in the middle of busy Durham City ..so yours is not in such an odd place!
