Spiky assembly

This is a group of Peacock butterfly caterpillars feeding on nettles (their main larval food). It's hard to believe that such a beautiful and colourful butterfly emerges from such a black spiky caterpillar!
Wow

Ewww! On the other hand, they eat nettles and turn into gorgeous butterflies, both very positive behaviors. But.... ewww!

Wow that is amazing. I don't mind that they eat nettles, but we have white cedar moth caterpillars and the strip our cedar tree bare if they get the chance

Wow, yeah, it's hard to believe that a butterfly will come from those spiky critters. Great shot.
