Marsh woundwort - Stachys palustris

Another member of the mint family that grows all over the Somerset Levels beside the rhynes. In herbalism it's used to treat cuts and wounds (hence its name) and is also reputed to cure aching joints when made into an ointment and when taken internally it's reputed to have anti-spasmodic and sedative qualities.

It's very pretty. Like the purple color. Can it be domesticated to grow in a garden?

@thewatersphotos no reason it shouldn't grow in the garden , but it does prefer damp conditions
