Hazel catkins

The catkins this year are so prolific! I think the hazels must have enjoyed the long hot summer we had last year. On my walks through the woods lately I keep getting sneezing fits so I suspect hazel pollen is the culprit!

We have one of these trees in our garden.....I too am sneezing and suffering runny nose and itchy eyes.......already !
