This aggressive little male house sparrow has taken over the House Marten's nest. I don't know whether the Martens had actually managed to lay eggs yet but until a few days ago they were in and out of the nest they had built. Now the Sparrow is guarding the nest and won't let the Martens anywhere near! I had heard of this happening elsewhere but it's never happened here before. Nature isn't kind!
