The newly mown meadows on the Somerset Levels are a very popular place to be for hunting birds right now. The big bales offer a great vantage point for them to perch and scan the grass for rodents now there is little shelter for them. In this field and the two alongside I saw 22 buzzards, 12magpies and 6 ravens all hoping for a tasty snack
