Pukekohe a town near where I live is a major onion and Potato growing area, it has very rich volcanic soil..this is just one paddock in the area planted for a summer harvest and then exported overseas.. maybe to a supermarket near you.. Just love the even rows and the contrast between the vivid green and the red soil.. Any one for some onion soup..
