Aotearoa .. Land of the Long White Cloud...

The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa.. and the English translation for that is The Land of the Long White Cloud... as I hung the washing up this morning I could see why we were given that name.. this is looking down our drive way and the young 'Girls' are in the paddock enjoying some summer sun...

Isn't that a lovely translation of your country......something very romantic about that name! You show the long white cloud off beautufully here! Interesting to see your drive & fields. Can you see the sea over the top of those fields?

@happypat No we don't have an ocean view but we do have a river view but looking the other way from where this was taken... The ocean is about 2klms to the left of this image.. ( as the crow fly's)
