Weta

Just out doing a bit of a tidy up around the garden and another Weta popped out to say 'Hi'.. this one was not so aggressive as the one the other day.. so I was able to get him in a bit better position and get a bit more detail... Large Headed Weta.. (Hermideina Megacephala) found through out New Zealand... This fellow was about 8 cm long...

@susiemc Yes they are a bit scary, but we do not have snakes or really 'bad' spiders so I don't mind these fellows too much... When he puts his two back legs in the air is time to get out of his way..
