Went up to our 'Runoff' ( a block of land where we graze young stock) last night to see the sunset over the sandhills and the West Coast.. I was not disappointed.. I am standing on the highest point on this block and the Lake below became famous back in 2000 when a New Zealand made film was filmed in part her... 'The Price of Milk' with Karl Urban and Danielle Cormack Director Harry Sinclair... this would have to go down as one of the strangest movies I have ever seen.. only held our interest cause it was filmed locally... At the top of the lake is the local Gun Club ..
There is so much to see in this shot, the lake, the colour of the grazing.the sea beyond the ridge, the sunset. It is a great shot for the landscape challenge.
