Picking up Paw Paws..putting them in my basket...

On our way home yesterday from 'The Back of Beyond' we stopped off at the Cobourne Reserve that is in the small community of Port Waikato, This reserve was gifted to the community by the Cobourne Family and volunteer's have planted it up to what is a real picture.. it is a real little sub tropical spot and every thing is flourishing ... As soon as I saw the Pawpaw the child's song came to mind.. I thought putting in my basket and Husband thought putting in my pocket.., googled and it seems we are both right.. have to return when they are ripe..
I remember singing the song as a child, but didn't know what paw paws were. Nice composition!

Beautiful capture , light and colour -I remember the paw paw being sung about in one of the Walt Disney films !! Yes they make an interesting addition to a fruit salad , although not so easily found here !!

I don't know that song at all! Funny that - maybe because we didn't know what a paw paw was! First saw one on Waiheke Island! So this is what they look like when green!
