The Sanctuary by julzmaioro

The Sanctuary

I went for a early morning look down at the Waikato River ( NZ longest river) to catch the lovely light.. Today I discovered a new little track that led to a look out over the Bird Sanctuary .. I will be keeping a closer eye on this over the next few weeks as Duck Shooting season is about to start and all the clever ducks will be down here for safe keeping... and having a good laugh at the Duck Shooters expense..

That is so beautiful Julia, I have never been to the forest, obviously need to put it on my to do list.

Those pampas grasses touched by the morning sun are lovely Julz. They were all out near Ant & Jo's but Ant said oh they are weeds but I think they're lovely!

You certainly did catch some lovely light! Very pretty.

@happypat yes they can take over. Farmer George is always pulling them out ir spraying them.. but they are left alone as they grow under the trees on the forest and the cattle graze on them in the winter.
