While at the forest the other day some beautiful light was coming through the tree's.. it was a bit foggy so made it very atmospheric.. the fungi are lovely at the moment.. I was a little amused by the one on the top right .. must be a girl toadstall...
Ah, you've batted one right into my court. the pretty, pretty orange-red ones are the "Fly Agaric", Amanita muscaria. it was introduced in plants etc. by Europeans, it still grows under pines, oak, and in our yard under silver birch trees. It is poisonous, but the stuff of fairy tales.
The white fungus looks like The slender Parasol Mushroom, Macrolepiota clelandii. Another beautiful fungus.
I like the way you have made this into a story telling collage.
I really only became fascinated with fungi when we lived near a National park for years. Bush walks were a joy and books on fungi started to inhabit my shelves and digital photos crowd my computer.
The images are just lovely. I like the detail in the toadstools, but I really love the light coming through the trees the best! Ha - top right toadstool must really be a girl all right! @ethelperry Thanks for all that information Ethel.
Fab collage. I love the light coming through the trees. Amazing capture. I also love the toadstools on the left, it's like a little baby one peeking out from behind her mum!

Love the way you have processed them and chosen the orange frame to set them off.
