This is the Flame Tree that attracts a lot of our Native Tui's to feed on the flowers this time of year.. I love the bright contrast of the hills, sky and grass and the cows munching away on the grass..
I once read that the Flame tree came from South African but that might have been a book I read! However, this lovely focus is sharp and contrasts well with the background - a reality!
@maggiemae Yes Maggie I think it is from South Africa but a very similar on is Australian and is called Coral tree.. Nice splash of colour for winter but they can be a bit evasive if left to their own devices..
Unlike ours I always remember the one time I visited NZ in the winter that the countryside was very colourful. Such a lovely contact here but love the cows & hils behind.
