Herding Bee's.... by julzmaioro

Herding Bee's....

Our son had a bee swarm set up camp on a fence post just near his cowshed... so that meant it had to be moved... He called one of the local Bee Keepers and he came and 'Rehomed' them... At first Jimmy braved it without any extra clothing .. but it soon became apparent that he would have to don the full suit as he said they were getting a bit grumpy .. I pulled the hood of my jacket up around my ears for added protection.. As long as the Queen was moved into the new hive they should all settle fairly quickly..
This is a really neat set of images. I love watching beekeepers handling the bees.

Amazing to see these photos! How weird, the chap seems to be just picking them up with their sort of tongs! Are they such a solid lump you can move them in a group?
