On the last morning of the Photography Course we were taken up to the top of a 'very high hill' .. before daylight ... when we got there we could hardly see 3 feet in front of us as there was very thick fog.. but our tutor assured us that it would clear.. and as the sun came out the fog drifted off.. and revealed the quaint alpine village of St Bathens .. it surrounds Blue lake that was formed after gold mining was done in the area..
I think the family that were camping in the lower left corner would of been very pleased when the sun started to warm up their camp site..
The light is stunning. The gold mining looks as though it desecrated the environment and nature is restoring the area. A great experience to see the fog rise and the light keep on changing
I love the rocks around the edge of the lake - so sculptural and the lake is a fabulous colour in your photo - I guess reflecting the mist and the early morning. Lovely.
