Tamarillo Triptych.... by julzmaioro

Tamarillo Triptych....

Been playing with my food again.. We have a set subject of 'Fruit' at camera club this month so trying to come up with an original idea...
Thought I would try a few shots with the Autumn/winter fruit of Tamarillo or as they use to be called 'Tree Tomato'.. They are a sub tropical fruit and are in the tomato family and originate from South America. .. but grow on a tree.. they are a tarty fruit and nice poached with a little sugar and served with custard but Farmer George and his family have them on bread with a little sugar ... which is something that I have not taken up ... but each to their own..
Nice idea and collage!

This is lovely. I love the way you've displayed the various images of the tamarillo. It's beautiful when cut in two!

This is a lovely food photo. They sound quite good, I wonder if they are harvested and shipped out of the country to other markets?

Lovely triptych - I really like this. If you are presenting this to your Camera Club, may I just suggest that you brighten up the background of the first image to match those of the other two images to make them look more like a part of a set. (I hope you don't mind .... I'm really not criticising, but those tiny details just may earn you more points)

I am intrigued and like the presentation. I will try to find these, probably will need to go to Los Angeles but a visit to my sister never needs an excuse.
