Yesterday morning we got up bright and early to go for a photoshoot down at the lake ( Rotorua) .. this part of the lake has thermal activity and the seagulls obviously knew this as they were paddling in and sitting around the rocks to keep warm in the minus 1 conditions .. It was very hard to get a shot without a bird in it .. and several of my shots have bird 'smudges' in them ..
@judithdeacon This is a thermal area .. so that is steam rising from the warm lake waters...you can actually see the bubbles rising through the sand ...
