The light was hitting this lovely white poppy beautifully .. and I like the hairy little bud along side..
I can remember picking poppy's out of my Mother's garden when I was a child and then before putting them in water was allowed to burn the hairs off the bottom of the stems as it was supposed to make the flowers last longer... Don't know if it really works but it was a great job for a small girl given the responsibility of matches..
Haha - I can remember burning the poppy stems too. My mum said they lasted longer if you do that. This is a gorgeous capture of the white poppy flower.
