Today my two oldest Granddaughters were involved in a 'Rowathon'.. they were going to be rowing down the Waikato river ( NZ longest river) from Huntly to there club base at Mercer a total of 40klm's,.. a huge undertaking for these kids.. Kenna the one in the boat holding the oar is 15 and Taryn in her first year is 13 that is her 2nd from the left .. They told me that they would be leaving Huntly at 9am and arriving in Mercer at around 1.30pm... I arrived there with what I thought plenty of time 12.45 but too late .. they were done and dusted and all looking pretty fresh.. Just had to get the gear washed and put away and stored for Competition next week .. Well done to them all and they raised a substantial amount of money..
@happypat Yes very annoyed as I could of been there earlier .. but didn't think they would of made such good time .. but great to see that they were all in good spriits when I saw them ... Yes very proud of my girls and their achievements..
