Kohekohe Church in the Seamist.... by julzmaioro

Kohekohe Church in the Seamist....

Yesterday as we were driving back from our little mini break we at times had our heads in the clouds with the 'Sea Mist' drifting along the coastline .. as we drove past this little church we had to stop and get some shots .. The Seamist was drifting around the background hills which was making it very atmospheric..
This little Church is no longer functioning as a Church but is used for weddings and other events.
It is one of the most photographed Buildings in the area and a great place for Astrophotography, with the Milky way in the background.
Pretty scene! I like the windows!

Love this simple little weatherboard building, great to hear it's still in use and clearly well maintained.

@kwind @golftragic There must of been a standard plan for all small village Churches 'back in the day' as they all seem to be the same .. we have one like this is our little village but it is the location that sets this one apart... PS it is for sale http://www.realestate.co.nz/3136895

What a gorgeous little church. Even I might be tempted to attend services in a cute little church like that!

gorgeous neat little church. I think the design must have been a sign of the times because there are lots of churches here in Australia of the same design. It is very well kept and probably a lovely place for photography.

@onewing It has been restored since I started doing photography and it was fantastic with its rusty roof and peeling paint..

Lovely with the mist on the hills behind - so different to the view on a sunny day.
